Dangers of Vaping – Are They Similar to Conventional Cigarettes?

The medical dangers of vaping aren’t known at all. Only a very small number of people that openly admit to vaporing cannabis are actually doing it for medicinal reasons, and there are practically no studies to aid the idea that vaporizing cannabis is any more or less safe than smoking. Children are actually showing a heightened fascination with trying Vaporized cannabis as well, according to a study published in-may 2021 in the peer-reviewed Journal of Adolescent Health. This study was done by the National Institute of Mental Health, that is a government agency within the US Department of Education. Researchers examined the smoking behaviors of twenty-three children, including ten who smoked cigarettes regularly and fifteen who did not smoke at all. It had been found that even children who have been only occasional marijuana smokers were ready to try vaporizing cannabis. Interestingly, this study didn’t look at the long-term ramifications of E-Cigs on these children’s long-term smoking habits, only their short-term ones.

Overall, it appears that the dangers of E-Cigs are pretty much exactly what one would expect from combustible cigarette smoking. The only difference is that instead of inhaling toxic gases, smoke is created in an E-Cig, rather than blowing out of a traditional cigarette. The largest dangers of E-Cigs are from vaporizing toxins in your lungs instead of from actual combustion. Even in this case, though, the dangers of E-Cigs are still considerably less than cigarettes, especially considering that teens have already demonstrated an enormous interest in experimenting with vaporized foods, candy, and chocolate. If you are concerned about the health risks of E-Cigs, ensure that you consult with your doctor before introducing a teen to vaporizers, as these devices can be in the same way dangerous as smoking, if not more so.
